Rosemary Hallgarten's textiles bring a unique and unmistakably quality of luxury and luminosity to any room, blending ancient craft with modern sensibility. As a second-generation crafts person, Rosemary's collection reflects her inspirations from art, furniture, fashion, and textiles, both ancient and modern.
Since its founding in 2001, the company's mission has been to provide sustainable products to clients while supporting textile artisans in indigenous cultures like Peru, Brazil, and Nepal. The alpaca population used to make their rugs, pillows, and throws is free-roaming, only shorn once a year in Summer, and their grazing helps prevent soil erosion. And their products are handmade by local craftspeople who carry out the dyeing, knotting, weaving and embroidery in their own homes, allowing them to set their own schedules and easing stress on their families.
Rosemary Hallgarten invests in the lineage of native artisans, contributing to the passing down of valuable techniques from generation to generation, imbuing each product with a strong sense of "place", and sustaining widespread appreciation for the cultures they come from.
