Since 1994, Mud Australia has thoughtfully created elegant and timeless porcelain homewares that are designed to last. Founded and designed by Shelley Simpson, their collection, available in 19 shades, is as much about self-expression as it is about functionality.
They hand make every piece from their studio in Sydney using porcelain clay sourced directly from Limoges, France. The clay is tinted using pigment at the slip stage to give each work its wonderful depth of color. Clear glaze is then applied to the interior while the exterior is left with a vitrified stone-like surface that becomes smooth with handling.
Mud has always been dedicated to reducing their environmental footprint. Passionate about social responsibility and a sustainable future, they have been carbon neutral since 2020.
