About The Author
Claiborne Swanson Frank is a fine-art photographer, creative director, and author raised in San Francisco. After moving to New York in 2007, she worked at Vogue under Anna Wintour before launching her photography career. Her debut book, American Beauty (2012), inspired by portraits of women in her life, featured a cover image displayed at San Francisco’s de Young Museum. She later released Young Hollywood (2014) and the best-selling Mother and Child (2018), now in its ninth edition. Swanson Frank has collaborated with brands like Estée Lauder, Ferragamo, Michael Kors, and Brunello Cucinelli, who sponsored her book Father and Child. Her work has appeared in Vanity Fair, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and more. In 2021, she debuted her first fine-art botanical series. She lives in Greenwich, Connecticut, with her husband and their two sons.
