Country Life's Book Of Dogs
Throughout its 125-year history, Country Life has chronicled the nation's deep affection for dogs. This elegantly designed volume celebrates this bond, featuring seventy breeds classified by the Royal Kennel Club—from working dogs and hounds to toys and terriers. Each profile combines modern and archival photography with history and anecdotes, offering a canine-lens view of English country living.
Readers are invited into Britain’s most stately homes, including Badminton House and Windsor Castle, to see dogs romping in gardens and lounging in drawing rooms. The book also highlights breeds favored by the Royal Family and raises poignant awareness for those now considered vulnerable to extinction. Country Life's Book of Dogs is a tribute to the four-legged companions that complete the British countryside.
