Immerse yourself in “Koh”, the Japanese art of incense, with this elaborate, all-encompassing incense holder that elegantly integrates wood and brass for a beautiful and functional burner. It includes three incense holders, a faceted interior to channel the incense smoke, a reservoir for catching fallen ash and stick remnants, a cover to conceal burning incense and ash, and a compartment for storing incense sticks so you can elevate your incense ritual and clear your space with with ease.
Tennen is a multidisciplinary architectural firm based in Phoenix, USA, founded by Ethan and Sarah Swartz Wessel in 2001. Dissatisfied with the lack of beautiful and functional incense burners, they decided to create their own, designed to prevent the nub of the incense from sticking to the vessel after burning. From buildings to aromas, their design projects pursue aesthetic simplicity inspired by the culture and design sensibilities of Japan - natural light, seasonal rhythms, minimalism, and the inherent physical and sensual qualities of materials.
