When lighting for the first time, burn until the wax melts evenly across the entire surface of the candle as this will prevent tunneling and create an even burn for the duration of the candle's life.

It is recommend that you trim your wick before every lighting. The wick only needs to be approximately 1/4 cm in length. Keeping it this length will avoid mushrooming which can result in unnecessary soot. This also controls the size of the flame allowing you to get the most time out of your candle

Your candle should not be burned for more than 3 hours at a time during the first third, then for 1 to 2 hours afterward.

A California-based ceramic studio, Match Stoneware makes one-of-a-kind dishware and decorative vessels inspired by the ocean, forests and earth that make up the state's uniquely diverse landscape. From the Martian terrains of Joshua Tree, to the moss covered Muir Woods and giant sequoias, each piece tells a story through its handcrafted design and distinct glazing. Starting with clay that is sourced directly from the earth, they use various ancient techniques to produce one-of-a-kind ceramics made without the use of molds or dyes—every piece is hand thrown on the wheel.

While Match Stoneware honors the long history of this humble craft, they also strive to push the boundaries of the art form, experimenting with different bodies of clay and combining old traditions with modern techniques. They are dedicated to creating beautiful and meaningful pieces that reflect the rich history of ceramic making and the rich beauty on their doorstep.
