Despite growing up in a family deeply rooted in the finance world, Marcelo Lucini's creativity always drew him to art and architecture. A lover of unique spaces and objects, he birthed an idea of bringing the magic of the elements of South America to the world, and was determined to make it a reality. In 2000, his idea took shape and he designed and produced Airedelsur's first objects which quickly captivated iconic customers—Oprah Winfrey and Rania, the queen of Jordan, were among his first clients, followed by Tory Burch, Rachel Zoe, and Joan Rivers.
The seduction of the mix of natural materials of their land—with its mountains, plains, and deserts—reinterpreted by the design of Marcelo and his team, together with the skill of local artisans, make each Airedelsur object unique. Respecting the knots of the wood; the curve of the horn; the original organic shape of the natural materials they use, each piece is an exposition of the essence of South America—the mountain hiking trails, the seasonal changing colors, the pine or flower scents. Much like the merging of noble metals with various organic components in their products, this balance between nature and art, classical and creative, sophistication and seduction are the soul of the brand.
