Coffee. The perfect way to start any morning whether it’s to prepare you for a long busy day or to greet you on a lazy Sunday morning. In celebration of International Coffee Day, this weekend, we collated a list of our favorite coffee shops around the world.

Libros del Passage combines two of our favorite things with style: reading and good coffee. With high ceilings and long wooden bookshelves, the interior architecture and atmosphere of the store is perfect for anyone looking for a moment to themselves or an entire afternoon to escape. Meander down the aisles with a hot cup of Argentinian coffee in your hands for the ultimate experience.

Named one of the best coffee shops in the world, it’s easy to see why we included self-dubbed, “streampunk cafe”, Truth Coffee, on our list. From the design and concept, to the hand-roasted beans, every aspect of your experience at Truth Coffee is expertly curated for the senses. You can’t go wrong with any of the unique or traditional coffee options they have to offer.

In the center of Copenhagen in a naturally lit, Parisian inspired space, lies Atelier September. This café + creative studio has also become a go-to for local & foreign coffee lovers alike. For the traditional coffee drinker, we recommend their organic take on an Americano, for something a little more experimental we love their Noisette. Enjoy your coffee with one of their freshly made Danish pastries.
Coffee Cafe Roasters
A small town café with a serious passion for coffee, Coffee Café has made a name for themselves for their unique original blends. Sourcing their coffee from Asia to South America, the beans are then roasted and packaged in house, ready for the perfect, piping hot cup of coffee. Our favorite is the Flat White alongside their gluten-free oatmeal bar.
Monmouth Coffee Company

At the fore-front of the London coffee scene since the 1990s, Monmouth Coffee Company, has grown to become one of the most revered names in British coffee. Their key to success? Monmouth’s founders are some of the most passionate and dedicated artisans in the game, traveling extensively every year to source the highest quality coffee from single farms, estates and cooperatives all over the world. Their coffee beans are then roasted locally each week for the freshest and richest taste. We love their signature Monmouth Espresso.

Located in Silverlake, Dinosaur Coffee’s light-filled, design-forward space is one of our favorite cafes in LA. Serving artisanal brews using San Francisco’s famed Fourbarrel Coffee, sit and linger over your morning Americano or your afternoon pick-me-up under the Jurassic-esque beamed ceiling.

Frothy Monkey has lead the way in artisanal coffee in Nashville since 2004. Known for its expansive menu, locally-roasted blends, and warm + inviting ambiance, Frothy Monkey has become a staple throughout Music City with students, freelancers and tourists alike. Be sure to try their house blend known as the “12South blend”.
Coffee shops are a dime a dozen in New York City. Our favorite at the moment is The Elk in the West Village. Founded by Clare Chan, a former buyer at Bergdorf Goodman, The Elk’s delicious coffee and calming interior aesthetic invites New Yorkers to momentarily escape their daily lives. The cafe features a full service menu and a selection of home and lifestyle items for sale. Whether you’re on the go, or looking to curl up with a good book, be sure to try our favorites, the espresso or the latte!

For the coffee lover visiting Paris, there is no place like Coutume Café. No one makes coffee in Paris quite like founder and owner, Atoine Netein. Named the “Best Roaster in France” by the Comité Français du Café in 2011, Netein has made a name for himself by specificalizing in delicious blends and coffees made through his unique brewing techniques. Nearly all of their original blends are available for sale, so you’ll be able to enjoy your favorite at home as well!
